The bolster a piece of a coconut shell.

The handle made of pelvic bone form a sheep, a piece of black horn from Faroe Sheep attached to the pelvic bone.

The sheath made of “leather” boiled Meripilus giganteus fungus, saturated in shellack.

The attachment canvas.

All coated with French polish.

The knife handed over to the new owner March 26 2022.

The handle was made from a fallow dear antler , found on Helletofte Beach Langeland , Denmark.

The sheath made of a pelvic bone from fallow dear.

A tooth from the fallow dear dear inserted in the bottom of the sheath.

Description:

Prototype.

A commision for a girl scout.

Helle blade 50 mm.

The handle was made from a fallow dear antler ( from Helletofte Beach Langeland ), the bolster a cobber sheet.

The sheath made of seal fur , attachment made of canvas.

This knife has been made up for a girl 6 years old , she is a girl scout with license to use a knife whilst supervised by her parents.

Sold 2020.

The knife was a Christmas gift from her grand parents in 2020.

Description :

Helle 89 mm blade.

The handle , the bolster brass , pokkenholt wood, copper , cow horn , Aluminum , Buffalo horn, elder wood , an Iranian Toman coin attached to the end of the handle.

The sheath made of seal fur, with a collar (coated with French polish) made of Fomitopsis betulina fungus “leather” the attachment made of canvas, coated with French polish.

Description:

Helle blade 90 mm.

The handle , the bolster brass, buffalo horn, aluminium ,  buffalo horn, aluminium , pelvic bone from a cow , silver inlay, elder wood, a 1 Rubel coin attached to the handle.

The sheath made of Elder wood, the attachment made of goat leather, a decoration knot attached to the sheath.

The sheath wooden part now clad with the skin from a pollock   and French polish  added .

The handle , the bolster brass, lignum vitae , Aluminum, Buffalo horn, Elder wood a 2 Oere coind from 1928 attached to the handle.

Letter K on the handle (brass nails )

Karens knife , she was born in 1928.

Knife no. 23

Description:

Prototype.

A commission for Mr. Hans Ove Hansen , former owner of the farm “Bregnegården” a farm situated at Helletofte, Langeland .

Helle, Turman , 90 mm blade.

The handle, the bolster made of a piece of black sheep horn from Faroe Island, a piece of antler from a fallow dear , hunted down at Helletofte.

A Danish silvercoin 10 oere, will be attached to the end of the handle.

The silver coin is dated 1935 , the year Hans Ove was born.

The sheath made of “leather” boiled and saturated in shellack, Meripilus Giganteus fungus, found in the forrest nearby Helletofte.

The attachmment made of canvas.

French polish applied to all expect the blade , 25 coats.

 

Sheath “leather”

Boiled Meripilus Giganteus fungus.

The first step making the sheath.

 

Drying before cutting and glued.

Now cut to fit , and the glue applied , awaiting drying and final adjustments.

Now completed the first gluing.

A final gluing and thence drying.

After final gluing and drying of the sheath.

The knife and the sheath now applied with 7 coats of French polish.

Attachment fitted , made of canvas.

Now all has been coated 25 times with French polish.

Now fitting the silver coin remains.

The knife completed, ready for the new owner.

As of today the 27th. of September 2021 the knife nr. 23 has been handed over to the new owner.

Knife no. 24

Description:

The blade, Brusletto Spikkeblad 60 mm , the handle 110 mm , the bolster a sheet from a buffalo horn, thereafter a sheet of Fomitopsis betulina fungus boiled and  saturated with French polish (shellack), the main handle is from a fallow dear antler.

Have used only hare glue for the gluing of this knife.

Now after sanding down of the bolster.

The sheath made of a pelvic bone from a fallow dear.

A tooth from the dear has been inserted in the bottom of the sheath.

The attachment has been made of canvas, coated with French polish.

The knife handle has been coated with French polish 25 coats.

 

Knife no. 25

Commision knife.

Description:

Helle blade no. 51 Turmann 76 mm.

The handle a pice of fallow dear antler.

The bolster a pice of buffalo horn.

Now the knife has been glued with epoxy.

The bolster from cow horn and buffalo horn.

Now the knife needs rest until the epoxy is fully cured , and the handle to be proper sanded down to correct dimension.

Now the handle has been sanded down.

Hereafter some polishing with the diamond files.

The sheats (25-26) will be made of Boiled Meripilus Giganteus fungus.

Boiled fungus for the sheaths , drying on a aluminum pipe.

The “leather” is redy for mounting.

The “leather” is now mounted and will be drying before gluing.

The sheath  now glued with bone glue.


Now drying and then French polish will be applied.

The attachment made of goat leather now fitted   to the sheath.

 

Now the knife completed with French polish.

 

Knife no. 26

 

The handle a pice of fallow dear antler.

The bolster a pice of buffalo horn.

The blade brusletto Falken 90 mm.

The knife has just been glued with epoxy.

The bolster from cow horn, a piece of buffalo horn , a piece of fallow dear antler.

Now the bolster has been sanded down to fit the handle.

The sheats (25-26) will be made of boiled Meripilus Giganteus fungus.

Boiled fungus for the sheaths, drying on a aluminum pipe.

The “leather” is redy for mounting.

The “leather” has now been mounted and will be drying before gluing.

Now the “leather” has ben dried and the sheath is ready for fitting of the canvas attachment and all will be coated several times with French polish.

The attachment made of goat leather now fitted to the sheath.

Now the knife completed with French polish.

Commision knife.

Blade Helle Siglar 90 mm.

Bolster buffalo horn.

The handle a piece of buffalo horn,a piece from a cow pelvic bone, a piece of buffalo horn, a piece of laburnum and a piece of hazelnut shells, pitacio shells , pieces of cobber wire glued with hare glue and stored for 2 years.
